Running from Santiago de Compostela to the Cape of Finisterre or ‘the end of the world’ as it was known in medieval times. It is a land of ancestral legends, a hidden gem waiting to be seen by those looking to understand the essence of ‘green’ Galicia.

This 6 day walking experience takes in just under 90km through the infamous eucalyptus trails of Galicia. This route leaves the historical city of Santiago and meanders west through the medieval town of Negreira, the rural village of Olveiroa, on to the stunningly beautiful coastal towns of Corcubión and Finisterre to end at Cape Finisterre; which is regarded to be one of the most beautiful sunset locations in the world.

The flat gradients, woodland, eucalyptus trails and coastal paths allow you to become completely absorbed in the route between Santiago and Finisterre. It encapsulates the untouched cultural heritage and wild, untamed nature of northwest Spain.

Further benefits of this trip include: luggage transfers and hand-chosen hotels. Detailed walking notes are also included as is 24hr telephone assistance taking the stress out of attempting this trip independently.

Alongside the sense of achievement and numerous chances to taste the local Galician food, this walking trip also allows you to qualify for the pilgrim’s certificate for the Finisterre Way.

Travel review:

“Bronagh runs a very professional business. She organised a bespoke trip for my husband and his two colleagues from Santiago to Finisterre. Each accommodation was first class. Bags were forwarded to each destination seamlessly and maps and local information were provided. Transfers to and from the airport are very welcome and made for a very relaxing holiday. I would 100% recommend Magic Hill Holidays and look forward to booking the next one”.

Catherine / Eddie Wiggins Cork, Ireland – April 2019

“We had a lovey time. We are recommending Magic Hill Holidays to everyone!  The accommodation choices without exception were fantastic. I think Juan was the star ….perhaps it was the fact that he arrived so quickly to pick us up after walking all day in the storm and delivered us dripping wet to his warm, very friendly family accommodation and lovely home cooked food …exactly what we wanted. The tips and and advice were invaluable, I even did the recommended pre-training!  The support during the trip was great as we were confident that whatever happened Magic Hill would be there to help, a great comfort when travelling in a new location”.

Cathy Roche, Dublin, Ireland – June 2019

“Just returned from a fantastic few days on the Finisterre Way and I am very grateful to Bronagh for all her help organising it. Everything ran so smoothly and her tips, advise and recommendations were spot on. Bronagh is very talented and passionate in what she does and is very willing to share her love for the Camino experience and pass on insider knowledge. She is fantastic and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to complete a Camino. Looking forward to the next one with Magic Hill!”

Lorraine McGuirk, Louth, Ireland – July 2019

Quote of the day:

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.”

Mark Twain
